This is my first experience with replacement insoles. I recently bought Lowa Renegade GTX hiking boots and wanted a little extra cushioning. I chose these insoles based on their great reviews. They definitely enhance the cushioning, but the heel stiffness is something I’ll need to adjust to. Replacing the original insoles was straightforward, and trimming them to fit was easy. They feel secure and don’t shift around at all. However, I’m not a fan of the rigid black heel section. It gives my boots a clacking sound as I walk, rather than a smooth rolling motion with each step. Surprisingly, the bottom half of the insoles is quite rigid, which is impressive considering how thin they are. I might look for a different version of Superfeet insoles next time. Unfortunately, since they require trimming to fit specific shoes, I can’t really test them out beforehand. Otherwise, I would return them for another option. That said, they are an upgrade over the stock insoles that came with my boots.

Since I switched from medically prescribed inserts to the Superfeet Trail Blazers, I’ve experienced significant improvement in comfort and mobility. The prescription supports cost $175 and ended up being unwearable for any extended period; they caused discomfort and, unfortunately, couldn’t be returned for a refund. In contrast, the Superfeet have been incredibly comfortable and effective in alleviating the pain I faced while exercising.
They were easy to trim with scissors to fit my shoe size, and I recommend trimming them gradually to avoid cutting them too short. I can now stay on my feet—whether walking or working while standing—for much longer than before. While I can’t guarantee that everyone will have the same positive experience, I believe that if they don’t work out, you could legitimately return them to Amazon. I recommend being an Amazon Prime member for easier returns.
Although Superfeet inserts are pricier than other over-the-counter brands, the quality and effectiveness make them worth the investment. I want to clarify that I have not received any compensation for recommending this product.

As a 77-year-old runner, these are crucial to my continued ability to run.

Great quality and significantly more affordable than orthotics.

These shoes are absolutely amazing! My feet were really struggling in my old booties, but now… wow, it feels like I’m walking on air! My big toe has never felt better. It’s been a long time since I’ve been this excited about footwear—kind of like when I first got my Air Jordans. Thank you, thank you! Just a quick note: If you don’t have feet, these probably aren’t for you. Anyway, I need to get back to my tasks, but now I can do so in comfort and style—though no one can see it because it’s all in my shoes. Bye!

The insoles arrived as a kit. I didn’t realize I was making a purchase from IKEA!

I initially bought a different brand of hiking boots because they promised great waterproofing, but they lacked the comfort of my usual brand. After trying these boots, I can confidently say they are 1000% better. They are incredibly comfortable, and with my torn fascia, I felt no pain at all. I absolutely love them and will be buying more.
Update 7/22/24
I am obsessed with these! My podiatrist suggested surgery, but I have two pairs of these boots. I alternate one pair between my hiking boots and shoes, while the second pair is for my everyday and workout shoes. I tackle hikes ranging from 4.5 to 15 miles, and these inserts have never let me down. I work out 5-6 days a week, and again, they consistently perform well. I no longer experience any fascia pain, and surgery is off the table. Before these inserts, I would be in pain for days after every hike. I love them so much that my next order will be added to my subscription. đź’Ż

I’ve been using a pair of Scarpa hiking boots for a while now, but I started experiencing pain in my left Achilles shortly after starting my walks. It began as mild discomfort but gradually became more bothersome, requiring me to stretch it out frequently. When I checked the insoles, I found they had collapsed almost completely in some areas.
I decided to try the Superfeet (8-9.5) Trailblazer insoles in my size 9.5 boots and went for a 17-mile hike. To my relief, there were no Achilles issues at all. I did notice that the insoles raised my feet a bit inside the boot, so I had to loosen the laces. I went on another 14-mile hike yesterday, and again, no Achilles pain.
I also have another pair of boots for summer walking, and I think I’ll get another pair of Superfeet for those as well.

I hike extensively, covering anywhere from 5 to 30 km on day trips and tackling rugged multi-day adventures. Finding comfortable footwear has always been a challenge for me, but these insoles have truly made a difference! If you’ve only ever used the standard insoles that come with hiking shoes, be prepared to give yourself time to adjust. I recommend wearing them around the house for a few hours and starting with shorter trails, as they can initially cause some soreness.
Ensure that the insoles fill the shoe properly—not just your foot. I learned this the hard way when I was professionally fitted for another brand and felt my foot sliding forward on descents, which was quite frustrating. If you have longer arches, consider sizing up and trimming them down. The extra arch support I didn’t realize I needed has simplified my search for shoes that are wide enough without being too loose, as the support helps prevent my foot and toes from flattening out too much (it’s hard to explain, but you can look it up!).
I prefer trail runners whenever possible, even on the wet coast, as I don’t find ankle support necessary and often find boots cumbersome. However, since I’ve been taking more winter trips, I’ve picked up a few pairs of boots, which are clearly better for using with snowshoes. While breaking in a new pair of Arc’teryx boots, I experienced a lot of slippage, but after swapping out the insoles, I finally understood their marketing focus on stability. I didn’t notice a significant difference with my trail runners, aside from a better fit and increased comfort, but the boots experienced a remarkable boost in stability. I highly recommend these insoles!
I ordered a pair for myself and also got comfort insoles in a larger size. My husband has already claimed a pair for his hunting boots before I even had the chance to trim them down, and he’s thrilled with the improvement he didn’t know he needed! He prefers the comfort version, mentioning that they take up less space in his boots, though they appear to be similar in thickness. He also doesn’t put them through the same mileage that I do.
As a side note, I estimate that I’ve put over 250 km through bush terrain on my first pair, and they still look and feel brand new. I understand they’re supposed to be replaced more frequently, but I don’t feel the need to just yet (see the photo of the well-used pair). I only bought a second pair to avoid moving them from shoe to shoe! I hope this helps you in your purchasing decision!

Outstanding quality and functions exactly as promised. This will be an essential addition to all my hiking footwear.

I purchased a pair of boots that, while pricey, didn’t fit quite as well as I’d hoped. Having used Superfeet before, I decided to try these insoles to improve the fit. They brought me about 80% closer to what I needed, and with thicker socks, they work perfectly. While they’re not inexpensive, their quality justifies the price. I’ve had blue Superfeet insoles last much longer than expected, and I’m no lightweight. If you’re considering these, go for it—they’re worth every penny. I highly recommend them, which is something I don’t say often. Just be sure to check the intended use of the different models, as it really makes a difference.
