If you find yourself in the dark without trees, this won’t be feasible. It’s strictly for emergencies, a last resort. Additionally, it was supposed to come with an emergency whistle, but that was missing from the box—thankfully, the rope was included. I considered returning it. While it claims to be wind and waterproof, the two open sides won’t provide much shelter during a storm. I’ve decided to keep it until I can afford a lightweight freestanding tent for better protection. Just a heads up: setting it up on level ground is essential, as it can easily get punctured on sharp rocks or twigs. It has great reviews, but many of them point out these issues. It’s durable, but caution is needed during setup.

They’ve managed to ruin other so-called ‘indestructible’ shelters and gear, yet the Go Time has only shown minor stretching and a couple of small burn holes from s’mores mishaps. As with any tent, it won’t keep you warm from the cold ground, so make sure to have an insulating layer (leaves, grass, or springy branches work in a pinch if you don’t have a sleeping pad).
As a survival item, it might spend most of its time packed away, but the Go Time truly excels in being lighter and more compressible than its competitors.
