We haven’t had to use it yet, but this first aid kit includes nearly everything necessary for treating injuries while hiking or away from home. We also added some safety pins, which could be useful. The kit has a hard shell, yet it still fits nicely in a pocket of our backpack.

Just two days after receiving the First Aid Kits, my friend and I went motorcycle riding, and he slipped on a highway ramp. He ended up with some scratches and bruises, which gave me the opportunity to use the kit. It’s compact enough to fit in my motorcycle tour pack, and I’m really glad I added it to my gear. I’m already purchasing a second kit since I used a few alcohol swabs and bandages. I highly recommend it for anyone planning a road trip or camping adventure.

This kit includes everything you might need, but I tailored it to fit my EDC bag. Everyone has different requirements, so I removed some redundant items like extra alcohol wipes, prep pads, and their brand of bandaids, replacing them with my preferred Nexcare bandaids in various sizes. I kept a selection of gauze pads, one roll of tape, and tweezers, along with a few other essentials. I didn’t find the triangle bandage necessary as it takes up space and can easily be improvised. I did keep the gloves.
I added a couple of safety pins, a small pill container, bug repellent, Benadryl, and two tiny tubes of Krazy Glue for closing wounds, which fit nicely in the zippered mesh pocket. The whistle is surprisingly nice; while I carry a louder one, this will be a handy addition to the medical kit. One oddity was the embossed “cross” on the case, which matched the color of the case, rendering it invisible, while their logo was big and bright red. It somewhat undermines the purpose of the cross. To remedy this, I used my label maker to create a “First Aid” label and added my name and emergency contact details on both sides of the case.
Pros:
The clamshell design is great for quick access to items, and the semi-hard shell case offers good protection for the contents. It includes many useful items if you prefer not to customize the kit, with a little extra space for your additions.
Cons:
The scissors included were ineffective, so I swapped them for a small pair of hemostats, which have multiple functions. I carry various knives, so the blunt bandage scissors, which serve a single purpose, were unnecessary.
My biggest letdown was receiving a black kit instead of the red one I ordered. I plan to keep this one in my car and will seek another from a different seller who can accurately differentiate the colors. I want my medical kit to stand out for easy access. I also think the universally recognized cross symbol should be white and more prominent.
UPDATE: I realized I mistakenly ordered the wrong color and apologize for my earlier comment. The seller offered to send me a red case, but since it wasn’t their error, I cannot accept it. I appreciate the company’s attentiveness, as I didn’t even reach out with a complaint. I’m raising my rating to four stars, but I still believe the kit could have a better selection of items and higher-quality scissors (which I replaced) for the price. The case itself is excellent.
